Contrail Shadow

I don't know if this is a contrail shadow or not, but I've never seen anything like it before. I don't think it is, but what else and what to name this? The BJ's parking lot has proven to be a good place to find images oddly enough. Seems like I've noticed these anomalies there and I'm not there for photography, only a deal. I'm glad I have this image. I don't know what this is, but it is what it is. Case closed.

Tree Shadow

Normally I like my tree work leafless. I couldn't help this with the leaves but then again, it's more an image of the lack of light, in the shape of a tree. I wonder how many people saw this. Sometimes when it's "just" a good day, our attention is on other things like the blue sky, or the lawn that needs to be mowed, not a shadow. I'll admit, I do watch for the changing shadows throughout the year on this wall but, this is another symptom I have of "photographicitus". It's not a bad thing.

Shadow with Hat

I get to see this wall often. It's a study just to see what kind of light is falling on it day to day and month to month. Normally the "good" shot is when light is sweeping across it in the fall or spring. It was December. After I saw the patch of light, I went into action. First I had to see if I could use myself in the shadow and second find a camera before this little bit of light disappeared. I couldn't take the time to see where the light was coming from or how much time I had (it could end fast). I hate that. When I see this image, I think of one of my brothers, and how much we look alike. That's OK as long as it's a shadow.

Lamp Shadow

I've been doing my shadow shots for years. Rather than looking for the typical good light, this has forced me to see shadows and shape. I don't have to worry about what I look like, just some composition and a good shape. The hard part has been triggering the camera. Sometimes my arms seem so short!

Refrigertor

I was siting at the house thinking I ought to go find an image. The light was pushing strong shadows outside, it was the end of the day. I was getting ready to go out and noticed the bottle shadows on my refrigerator. I liked the depth in this, the from the outside, the glass, and then the refrigerator itself. I had to move fast as the light was going. I shot this, then grabbed another cold one. Mission accomplished!

Bowling

Seems like we always pass by this place when there's nobody in town. I wanted to play a little and had this "put together" shot in mind when I realized I didn't have the lens or distance to do the shot in one. I wonder what this lot looks like in "Bowling Tourist Season"?
