Ice Tractors

I couldn't stop the car fast enough when I saw these tractors. You know how your car slides when you lock the brakes up on ice. What an addition to my tractor series. I shot this through the passenger side window (it was down), and made a few more when I got out of the car. It didn't seem right to step on the icy grass, everything was crystal. I think the weed ice blocking the lower part of the tractor adds to the the ice effect since the background says white and not ice. It's like a fence. Makes sense.

Tractors

We were on a quick hilly road shooting down a hill with a slight left bend. I glanced, saw the tractors and started wondering. I hadn't gone far before I turned around. On the uphill turn-around trip I figured out the camera set-up and lens. I wondered what the history was with these? It's tree to tree trees. The owner couldn't have parked them better. One has the others back, they're clean with good tread. No junk around. The light was pefect. I parked and decided not to use the lens I'd decided on but to give my "favorite" lens a try (it was already on). Mistake. I didn't even shoot, but ran back to the car, changed it, went back to my spot, shot it, turned around and off again.
